Important Training in Fire Protection

Last tuesday, we took a crucial step towards safety for our community at our school: A thorough training in fire protection, which was kindly supported by the organisation JCC from Duhok and in cooperation with the THW.

Our employees received an intensive training in first aid, effective methods for extinguishing fires and the proper behaviour in the event of fire. Because of the frequent accidents involving fire in the camps and our village, it was a matter of heart to us to prepare our team for emergencies like this to the best of our ability. The commitment and engagement of our employees was inspiring; they had many questions and showed a noticeable interest in the contents of the training. We'd like to thank Sabrina Manteuffel from the THW without whom this training would not have been possible.

At the end of the training, our school was equipped with important safety equipment like fire extuinguishers and first-aid kits. These measures not only strenghten our ability to react properly in emergencies, but underline our commitment to the safety and wellbeing of everyone at our school.

We are proud of our team and thankful for the support of our partners. Together, we can build a safe future.
