Emergency Aid for Earthquake Victims in Turkey and Syria

On 6 February 2023, two devastating earthquakes shook the Turkish-Syrian border region. More than 16,000 dead, 70,000 injured and thousands missing in Turkey and Syria. That was the terrible toll on Tuesday noon, one day after the most severe earthquake in the region in years. The economic infrastructure was also hit hard by the repeated tremors of magnitude 7.7. Thousands of houses are destroyed, clinics and other public facilities damaged, roads partly impassable. The impressions on site immediately after the disaster are crushing.
Our Bridge now wants to take action and bring help to the victims in Turkey and Syria. Every donation counts and flows directly into the donation fund for those affected. Our team is currently developing a comprehensive action plan so that we can act in a targeted way over the next few days. The isolated areas in Syria in particular are to be taken into account.
For this reason we are currently in close contact with those responsible on site so that this relief action can be carried out as quickly and effectively as possible. The people in Turkey and Syria depend on our help. Let us build a bridge together.
UPDATE: Thanks to a strong community and many organisations that joined our convoy, we were able to bring 10 trucks to northern Syria. Once again, we thank everyone who got involved.
