First Aid and Fire Protection: A Workshop for our Students

This week was particularly meaningful to us. After our teachers successfully participated in a workshop concerning first aid and fire protection, we offered another workshop for our students with the help of THW and JCC organisation.

This decision is not without good reason. A lot of accidents involving fire sadly happen in the camps, either because of burning gas bottles or faulty fuses. This is why it was our personal concern of ours to educate and prepare our students for these cases of emergency to the best of our ability. We started this week with class 3A who participated in the 3-hour long workshop with a lot of enthusiasm and interest. The children learned about the correct handling of fire extinguishers, first aid measures as well as the meaning of important emergency phone numbers. It was a great pleasure to see how curious and excited the children were. At the end, every child got to take home a first aid bag as reward for their participation.
